These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Kadi mobile application ("Kadi" or "the Service"). Kadi is an independent product developed and operated by an individual developer, not a registered company. By creating an account or using Kadi, you agree to these Terms. They're written to be understood, not to confuse.
Using Kadi
You must be at least 18 years old to use Kadi. By using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have legal authority to do so. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
What you can do

Scan business cards belonging to people who have voluntarily given you their card.

Create and share your own virtual business card.

Organise, export, and manage the contacts you collect.

Use Kadi for personal, professional, or internal business purposes
What you CANNOT do

Scan cards without the knowledge or consent of the cardholder, or use Kadi to build lists for spam, unsolicited marketing, or any unlawful purpose.

Reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Kadi application.

Upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.

Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.

Resell or sublicense access to Kadi without our prior written consent.
Your content & contacts
The contacts you scan and the virtual card you create belong to you. You grant Kadi a limited licence to store and process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You can export or delete your data at any time.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your collection and use of third-party contact information complies with applicable privacy laws — including GDPR, the Kenya Data Protection Act, and any other relevant legislation in your jurisdiction.
Subscriptions & Billing

The free plan has defined usage limits.

Pro and Pay-As-You-Go plans are billed weekly, monthly or annually in advance via RevenueCart.

You may cancel at any time through the app. Access continues until the end of the current billing period — we don't offer partial refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
Free Trial
Pro plan trials are 3 days at no charge. No credit card required to start. If you don't upgrade, your account reverts to free at trial end.
Intellectual Property
The Kadi name, logo, app design, and software are the intellectual property of the developer. Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use Kadi's name, branding, or proprietary technology.
Service Availability
Kadi aims for reliable uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The developer is not liable for losses resulting from planned or unplanned service interruptions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kadi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Kadi reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms. If the Service is discontinued without cause, any prepaid unused subscription fees will be refunded.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Nairobi, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
Changes to these terms
You will be notified of significant changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Kadi after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
